Adding a new iDRAC user with administrator privileges

The iDRAC root user is well known and using it presents security risks, even if you’ve changed the default password. Therefore, it's recommended that you add a new user with administrator privileges to access iDRAC.

What you should know

You can add a local user or use Microsoft Active Directory to create a user account.

Add a new user in one of the following ways:

When configuring the user privileges, ensure that the User Role is set to Administrator.

After you finish

For added security, disable the iDRAC root user.
