Disabling the iDRAC root user

If you created a new iDRAC user with administrator privileges, disable the root user to ensure that no one can log in with that username.

What you should know

You can disable the root user by editing the user's privileges.

Procedure

Note:
When editing the root user's privileges, ensure that you configure the following:
  • Set the User Role to None.
  • Set LAN Privilege Level to No Access.
  • Set Serial Port Privilege Level to No Access.
  • Set Serial Over LAN to Disabled.
