  Your Streamvault™ appliance is covered by Genetec™ hardware and software warranties.
- Configuring the BIOS password
  To protect the data on your Streamvault™ appliance from unauthorized access, you must set a BIOS password.
- Changing the default iDRAC password
  If your Streamvault™ appliance supports iDRAC, it's recommended that you immediately change the default iDRAC password for the root user to prevent unauthorized access to your appliance.
- Adding a new iDRAC user with administrator privileges
  The iDRAC root user is well known and using it presents security risks, even if you’ve changed the default password. Therefore, it's recommended that you add a new user with administrator privileges to access iDRAC.
- Disabling the iDRAC root user
  If you created a new iDRAC user with administrator privileges, disable the root user to ensure that no one can log in with that username.
- Re-imaging a Streamvault appliance
  To re-image a Streamvault™ appliance, you need its Microsoft Certificate of Authenticity (COA) to determine which image can be used with the appliance. Each Streamvault appliance has a COA label affixed to it, which indicates the edition of Windows running on the appliance.
- About the Windows 10 LTSC 2021 recovery image for SVR appliances
  The Windows 10 LTSC 2021 recovery image is suitable for all Streamvault™ SVR appliances that include a Windows 10 LTSC 2021 license. The image can also be used with SVA appliances.
- About the Windows Server 2022 recovery image for the SV-1000E series and up
  The Windows Server 2022 recovery image is suitable for all Streamvault™ SV-1000E, SV-2000E, SV-4000E, and SV-7000EX appliances.
- Finding the system ID and image version of a Streamvault appliance
  When contacting the Genetec™ Technical Assistance Center (GTAC), you need the System ID and the image version of the Genetec™ software installed on the appliance.
- Allowing file sharing on a Streamvault appliance
  To share the files and folders on your appliance with people in your network, you must enable file sharing in the SV Control Panel.
- Allowing Remote Desktop connections to a Streamvault appliance
  To control an appliance from any computer or virtual machine on the network, you must first enable remote access on the appliance.
